img2figma turns any image into fully editable Figma layers. Behind that one-click magic is a hard, unsolved research problem: perceiving a design the way a designer does, then reconstructing it as structured, editable intent. We're building the first multimodal model for graphic design to do it end to end. Come build it with us.
In 2026, an AI can generate a stunning UI in seconds, but it hands you a flat, dead pixel grid. No layers, no text you can edit, no components, no responsiveness. The gap between "a picture of a design" and "a design you can actually work in" is the single biggest bottleneck in the modern creative stack. We wrote about this at length on our blog, from why image generators hit a wall to the research thesis behind Vibe-Figma.
Closing that gap is a multimodal perception and generation problem at its core: detect every element in an image, understand the latent design system behind it, and re-emit it as structured, editable intent. Today we orchestrate specialized models to do this. Tomorrow, one model does it natively. That's the research bet you'd be joining.

Own the design, pretraining, and post-training of our multimodal foundation model for graphic design on multi-node GPU clusters.
Graphic design is one of the last frontiers of multimodal AI that no single model has cracked end to end. It demands perception (what elements are on this canvas?), grounding (what is their type, hierarchy, and geometry?), reasoning about a latent design system (fonts, spacing, color, intent), and structured generation (emit an editable file, not a picture). Today we solve this by orchestrating specialized detection, inpainting, and code-generation models. You will lead the research to collapse that pipeline into a single multimodal foundation model for graphic design, and take it from a whiteboard to a training run to production.
Object detection and UI or document understanding · diffusion and inpainting · structured and code generation with constrained decoding · RLHF, DPO, or reward modeling · data pipelines for web-scale image corpora · inference optimization and quantization.

Build the training and inference backbone behind our image-to-design foundation model. 5+ years of engineering experience required.
Great research dies without great engineering. You will be the person who makes big training runs fast and reproducible, turns a promising checkpoint into a sub-60-second product experience, and builds the data and eval infrastructure that lets our researchers move quickly. You'll work across the whole stack, from distributed training jobs to the low-latency inference path our Figma plugin calls in real time.
CUDA or Triton kernels · inference optimization (batching, KV-cache, quantization) · vision or multimodal model experience · building internal eval and data tooling from scratch.

Start your career building AI that turns images into editable design. No professional experience required, just a strong degree and real curiosity.
We hire for raw ability and curiosity, not years on a resume. As a junior engineer you'll work alongside senior engineers and researchers on real production code: the Figma plugin, the web app, and the systems that serve our models to thousands of users. We'll pair you with a mentor, review your code closely, and give you room to grow fast. If you're the kind of person who takes something apart just to understand how it works, you'll fit right in.
Internships or open-source contributions · a personal project you're proud to show · exposure to machine learning, computer vision, or data pipelines · a computational biology or bioinformatics background.

Build our enterprise go-to-market from the ground up and turn design teams and platforms into long-term customers.
We have thousands of designers, developers, and agencies using img2figma bottom-up. Now we need a leader to turn that pull into enterprise revenue. You will own B2B from strategy to close: define our ideal customer across design teams, agencies, and platform partners; build the pipeline; and land the first wave of company-wide deals. This is a hands-on, player-coach role. You'll carry a number before you build the team that scales it.

Own strategic partnerships, corporate development, and M&A from our US base, the commercial bridge between a Tel Aviv research team and the US market.
As we turn frontier multimodal research into a category-defining product, we need someone to build the commercial and strategic scaffolding around it. Based in San Francisco or New York, close to the platforms, investors, and acquirers who matter, you'll own business development end to end: strategic partnerships, corporate development, fundraising support, and M&A. You'll be the connective tissue between our Tel Aviv research and engineering team and the US ecosystem, and you'll report directly to the founders.
Experience in design, developer, or AI tooling · venture capital or growth equity background · prior BD or corp-dev leadership at a high-growth startup.

Design the product that designers use to design. Own the plugin, the web experience, and the brand.
Our users are designers, the most demanding possible audience for a design tool. You'll own the experience end to end: the in-Figma plugin flow, the web app, onboarding, and the brand. You'll turn a powerful but complex AI pipeline into something that feels like one clean, magical click, and you'll set the visual language that makes img2figma feel inevitable.

Own the product surface end to end: the Figma plugin, the web app, and the serverless backend that ties them together.
You'll build the product our users touch: a React and TypeScript Figma plugin, a Django web app, and an AWS serverless backend that streams AI results back over WebSockets in real time. You'll care about the entire path, from the drag-and-drop upload to the moment editable layers land on someone's canvas.

Be the voice of img2figma in the design and dev community through content, demos, and the vibe coding movement.
Our growth is powered by designers and developers who discover that image-to-Figma actually works. You'll turn that into a movement: publish sharp content and demos, grow our presence in the Figma community, run the blog, and champion the vibe designing workflow we're pioneering. You'll close the loop between community and product.

A bright, in-person studio in Tel Aviv. Whiteboards, good coffee, GPUs humming nearby, and a team that eats lunch together. (Our Business Development lead is based in SF or NYC.)
Meaningful equity, competitive salary, full health coverage, and top-tier hardware. You'll be an owner, not an employee number.
Frontier multimodal research that ships to real users. Short feedback loops, real autonomy, and a shot at defining a new category.
